Since Clickbank has only digital products, the publishers of these products can offer high commissions since it costs very little to produce these kinds of products.  I recommend sticking with the health/fitness and internet marketing categories to start with since they have tons of buyers so as long as you advertise appropriately you should be able to make a good number of sales.  There is a lot of money to be made with affiliate promotion so stick with and learn whatever you can. Promote a lot of different products at once that way you will get more people seeing your products and thus you have a greater potential to make money.
